Fan Poetry!

Nothing makes me happier than when a reader sends me something...a piece of fan art...a kind letter...but this week I got this in my email. Wow! Poetry! So I asked him if I could put it up on the website and he said I could. So for everyone's enjoyment, here is "My Own" by "Tiny"

Raven wings, on severed strings, a puppet for the play
Love hath lied, death denied, all hope has gone astray.
Days of old, nights come cold, into thy setting sun
Seasons change, hope out of range, a tear will slowly run.

The moon shall wane, a solemn bane, my eyes shall softly drop
Movements fast, avoid my past, this song is sure to stop.
When it starts, to pause thine heart, surely you shall fall
More than a man, the animals stand, they have heard my mournful call.

Could it be, the beast she sees, the innocence lost in sin
A thing so cold, her loves untold, and what they could've been.
Lost inside, he knows she cries, he holds her to his chest
When she's gone, by break of dawn, she said, "It's for the best."

The moon's pale place, reflects her face, portrayed through naked soul
For change of pace, this animal chased, the one he called...
"my own".
