talkcasts and podcasts

Not only have I been a pretty regular voice over at 910 Webcomics Talk, but I've recently appeared on the Webcomic Beacon. The episode was recorded tonight, and after editing, Fes will have it posted and ready to listen to soon.

We are doing a creative writing exercise, demonstrating the webcomic writing process-- everything from character development to storyline. The first episode of this has been pretty interesting!

Aggie Fan Art

Turnsky from Foxfire Chronicles (his new site will be here) did some really cute Aggie Fanart for me <3.>

Evil Overlords United(which I still try to draw about twice a week). EOU has been a fun exercise in Mary-Sue-ing... which most authors worth their salt try to avoid. Since I'm the queen of cliche.. I'm having my fun Mary-Sue-ing it up as a confused comic artist, babysitting an overlord in BFE Tennessee.

Pyewacket

I didn't set out today to get a new pet, but here I am... with a new cat rescued from the animal shelter.

Haven't had a cat in about four or five years. The last one, Thomar was a squirrel chaser and excellent pet. This one's name is Pyewacket (so far... we'll see how well he takes to it) and he's adorable.

He has chronic head tilt from ear infection damage or maybe a little brain damage. He's really loving and kinda crazy. Gotta be to survive around here!

He's already decided he owns the studio, taking the studio couch as his bed. Can't be all that dumb.

Sketches

Sketches of a random witch with defensive tattoo work, and a drawing of Marie, Luke's sister.

Millia Sketches

It's been an interesting year, and I hope that 2008 is much, much better.

This latest round of mess has been just a series of small but hurtful events. Over the summer, I sold my old home, moved into a new one, started a new job. Now that I'm finally settled, I had looked forward to a nice Christmas vacation. Boy was I in for shocker.

My car broke down, to the tune of 2,000.00 I had to get a rental car while it was in the shop. My oldest dog went missing, found him under the house with his leg wrapped in a phone cord. It was broken and he was dehydrated. The vet put him to sleep. He was a very, very old dog and couldn't handle the injury.

Christmas day I woke up with a very high temperature. I was shivering so hard that I stupidly decided to get into my jacuzzi tub to get warm. About an hour of being in there, I puked all over myself because I couldn't get out of the tub fast enough. At least it was easy to clean up.

My ex... well.. he pissed me off. I'm not going there.

I lost my best friend... we got into a fight. Luckily now we've patched some of that up.

As for the sherrif.. I'm not going to explain that one either. That would take up a whole page.

One of my other friends, I left a message on her answering machine, hoping she'd call me back. I now get the feeling she's mad at me because they guy she's in love with started to ask me out on a date. *shrugs* I have no idea. I'm trying not to worry about it.

Since vacation is over, other good things have happened though. The secretary at work told me my boss likes me and I'll probably be kept after this first year is over. No one at work has complained about me, which apparently was the case with the woman I replaced. That made me really happy. I still haven't seen my evaluation paperwork yet because I have one more eval to do, but I think my evals have gone well.

One of the comic artists I've been talking to is just a sweetie. I hope to see him over Spring Break and get to meet him in person. It will be like... the first date I've been on in months. Wow.

well.. enough of me whining-
hopefully things will improve and I can get back to updating better.

love you all,
Aggie/Gothia
