I looked up Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians on YouTube.... then stumbled upon "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall", which I hadn't heard in so long. It was one of my favorite songs from 1989. A song from the soundtrack of "Born on the Fourth of July" with Tom Cruise.

I won't go into why I thought of this song now, but needless to say, sometimes rain must fall. Sometimes it is cleansing, embracing and uplifting. Sometimes it is sorrowful and depressing. Often, it is all of those things.

Updates on me-

Sorry guys that things have been so chaotic the last several months. I feel bad because I have messed up my otherwise perfect update record. I used to update five times a week on schedule... now I'm doing good to manage some sketches and some guest strips here and there.

The new job has me driving a lot... comes out to about three hours a day of just driving. I get a lot of thinking done, but obviously I can't draw and drive! (Warning: Don't Draw and Drive! You'll get your license revoked). Soon I hope to be moved though, and things will hopefully settle down.

The first house I had picked out, I had a contract on and everything... it was about two weeks before closing when I found out the house had structural damage the people were not willing to fix. I didn't want to move into a house that would require thousands of repair, so we tore up the contracts. It's taken me this long to find yet another house, but it's awesome! It will have a nice 17 X 22 foot studio in it made from the so-called "bonus" room. Very exciting!

Now I just have to get the mortgage company to pay them and get the deed-- then I get to move in!

So please hang in with me while I go through this big transition. You guys have been so good to me so far! I <3 you fans!!! Thanks for all your prayers, positive thoughts, lit candles and spellwork. I appreciate all of it. Soon I'll be back, and I can reward you all with more Luke and Millia!

Things are going to get interesting from here on out for them-- they have to figure out who set up the hit on Luke.... and Luke's family will be introduced soon, not just that little snippet of how he was made. His father and sister will be coming around, making things unpleasant as vampire kin often do.

So you can imagine what's going to happen when you have Brigit and Anna (the witches) on one side, the Butcher Clan (werewolves) on the other, and Silvanus and Marie (the vampires) on a third side. Will Luke and Millia even stand a chance? We haven't even considered the shapeshifters yet.......

*snicker*

Love to you all,
Gothia
